I have been keeping up lately with Nicole Watt over at Pixel Mavens Retreat. She is great at not only exploring with color, but sharing the results with her readers! (my disclaimer for this post is Nicole Watt with Integrant Services also created the graphics for my website)
I was really interested in the pan style watercolors, and while Nicole uses a few different brands, I decided to start with the Prima Classics Watercolor Confections.
I was so surprised by the true to color results these watercolors gave me. I love how smooth these colors laid down on my card stock which is a 110 weight. I did some mixing for the greens and added some black glaze on the some of the black lines.
I used an Altenew Stamp Set called Dearest Friend to create this card and the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips. These strips are ready to foil and make a great addition to card, without taking away from a bold stamped image like this one.
Break out of your routine and try something new. It won’t be perfect (at least mine never is), but it will be a chance to find a new medium to play around with. Good luck with anything new you try. New =Win!
