Anemone is a wildflower and is this month’s featured Paint-A-Flower from Altenew. This particular stamp set looks very much like the ‘Queen Charlotte” variety of Anemone. In Victorian times the Anemone meant “Forsaken” and “Illness”. I used a sentiment from the Be Strong Stamp Set to indicate I am reaching out to a friend to let them know I haven’t forgotten them!
I think this stamps set is just so pretty, I really wanted it to stand on it’s own without a lot of embellishment. I heat embossed my image and the sentiment using Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment ink and clear embossing powder.
This is such a nice stamp set to paint using watercolors . I chose the Pink Diamond from the 36 Pan Watercolor Set for the main color and then went from there. The addition of the Cotton Candy helps to contrast some of the bulbs and it gives a sense of the wildflower aspect to the blooms I added a few enamel dots to finish this card off, and then used foam tape to pop it up on my lavender cardstock.
Thanks for spending part of your day with me.
Until next time,
