I’ve been spending a little time in the craft room the last few weeks! I’ve also been preparing to move forward with my Altenew Educators Certification! So excited about this next step in my paper crafting, and card making journey.
Today I wanted to share a bright and happy card. I used the Northern Lights Mini ink pads to create this pretty butterfly, and background. I also used the inks to color “friend” using the blending tool. I also used watercolor paper for the butterfly, and black ink to create the background splatters. I added some shiny dots for the finishing touches.
The background was a bit of a mistake because I picked up a blending sponge that had a red color on it and I ended up with this soft peachy color. It works though, so I just went with it. Happy mistakes always welcome. I colored my butterfly using the dye inks. I’ve always enjoyed using my inks this way. I just add some of the ink to my work surface (silicone pad) and use a water brush painter to paint.
I hope you are all staying safe, and well. I appreciate you spending some time with me today.
