AECP: Level 1 Final-Revision

As per my instructors advise, I am re-making the masculine portion of the Level 1 Final!

While I got really nice feedback on my cards, it was felt my set of “his” were not quite “his” enough.

I honestly felt this might be the case when I turned them in.

I still liked my ides of using dots, so I stayed with that overall theme but I changed up my color profile, and made a couple of other changes as well.  No bows on the ribbons, and I stayed away from florals.

As you can see I used the Halftone Cover Die for the 4 cards pictured, but I varied how the die was used.

I took the photo of this card at a slight angle so you can see the embossing and foiling I used for my sentiments. I only used a portion of the die cut cardstock here just to give it a different look.

With this card I used the die cut image as a stencil to create part of my background with a bit of ink blending. I also used some embossing powder to help the “happy” standout.

For this card, I kept it super simple by weaving a ribbon into the die cut paper and adding my sentiment at the bottom.

With this final card I used my die cut paper as a stencil  to create the bold background with embossing paste that I colored with a re-inker. I then cut the word “thanks” twice, so I could show it in a “shadow effect.

I feel like I learn a lot from the critiques I get from my instructors, and in the long run, I can only grow and get better (hopefully)  with my craft.

Thanks so much for following along with me. Please feel free to comment! I love comments!
