What a fun class this was to execute! I love die cutting! Honestly, who doesn’t? This is what got me hooked on stamping and card making in the first place!

There were some great tips and tricks in this class, and Altenew Academy has done a great job on these lessons. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned crafter, there is something new to learn.

My first two cards are done by die cutting vellum. I embossed both peonies, and used Hero Arts White Satin embossing powder. I then colored both using the Altenew Alcohol Inks.

I used the same image, and sentiments from the Peony Spray Stamp and Die  to create both cards, and changed them up a bit by removing the greenery from the soft pink peony to get a slightly different look.

The background on my soft pink peony is the Doodle Lace Cover Die cut used as an “faux” embossing folder. I then ink blended a soft blue to show off the “faux” embossing a bit. I added some sequins for the final touch.

For my last card i used the same Doodle Lave Cover Die to create both the background and the pops of color. I colored my flowers and leaves with the Altenew Winter Wonderland Watercolor Brushes.I managed this by cutting 2 out and then fussy cutting the colored pieces and popping them up with some foam tape. The background is the same color blue as the first two card, but with much heavier blending, to really make it stand out.
