Hello Everybody, so glad you could stop by today. My most recent class for the Altenew Educator Certificate Program is learning how to build a scene. Not as easy as it sounds. I really just didn’t have stamps sets that would be conducive to the task, so I did my best with what I did have.
I used the Altenew “Adore You” set for my first card. I also used Altenew Inks to color my flowers and for the background blending. I then mounted a black piece of cardstock with a window using a film sheet to create a shaker card. Apiece of black and white bakers twine finished off this card along with the bright yellow and pink sequins inside!
My next card, I feel like really is a better “story than the first. I feel like this cupcake is sitting in a display case just waiting for someone to come and get it! I used the Earth Tones Set of Copic Markers for my cupcake. This was my first time using the Copic brand and I am hooked! Loved the way these markers layed down the ink, and I had very few mistakes because I felt I had good control of the ink flow.
As you can see I did some ink blending to showcase my cupcake which is the Altenew Layered Cupcake Stamp Set.
Although I think I could have created better stories with other stamp sets, I got the jist of the assignment and ended up with two very nice cards. Thanks for taking time out of your day to visit.
