For this latest class with the AECP, we worked on adding shine to our projects!
What a fun class! As you can see from my project above, a little goes a long way. This card incorporated some of the ink blending I learned from previous classes and how to position embellishments to draw the eye in. I also chose to use bronze and copper colors rather than the silver and gold that was demonstrated just to show something different. I had this wonderful dark bronze paper that I cut to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and mounted to my white card base and then built the layers from there. I did use a copper strip on the left hand side that didn’t photograph as well as I would have liked. but it is nice.
We have used a lot of “embossing” in this class and others, so I’ve added an additional project to combine the elements of blending and bling together. I love how this “galaxy image” turned out. This was all done with ink blending using the Altenew Dye Inks.
I used the Hero Arts Infinity Frames for my “window frame”, and sponged it with Altenew Gold Pigment Ink. I purposely tried to give the frame a distressed look, and I like the effect it produced. Looks a bit weathered and well used. Probably a lot of star gazing going on!
I’m so glad you could join me today. Thanks for stopping by!
